Join us for the best winter road race in central Wisconsin! Participate in a 5K family fun walk, 5 mile race or 10 mile race. The Frostbite Road Race & Winter Walk offers a unique experience: Celebrate good health, brave the elements and share the warmth in support of the YMCA.

• Refreshments will be available after the event in the YMCA All Purpose Room

• 5 and 10 mile races begin at noon

• 5K family fun walkers depart at 12:01PM

• All events begin and end at the Stevens Point Area YMCA

CHECK-IN

Check-in takes place Saturday, December 7, from 9:00-11:30AM at the Stevens Point Area YMCA, All Purpose Room.

You will receive your Dry Fit long-sleeved shirt & bib.

There will be a brief rules meeting at 11:45AM in the All Purpose Room.

Locker room facilities and showers are available for your convenience. Please bring your own lock and towel.

ENTRY FEE

The purpose of the Frostbite Road Race & Winter Walk is to brave the elements and raise money to educate local elementary kids about nutrition and provide healthy snack items throughout the school year.

5 or 10 MILE RUN
Early Registration Fee (before 11/19/19):
Individual $25; Family of 3+ (per person) $22
Late Registration Fee (on or after 11/19/19):
Individual $35; Family of 3+ (per person) $32

5K FAMILY FUN WALK (Ages 5 & Under Free)
Early Registration Fee (before 11/19/19): 
Individual $10;
Family of 3+ (entire family) $20
Late Registration Fee (on or after 11/19/19): 
Individual $20; Family of 3+ (entire family) $30

Entry fee includes a souvenir long-sleeved shirt*, refreshments and locker room facilities. 5 & 10 mile races also include race results and awards.

*Shirts are not guaranteed if registered after November 20.

Early registration and payment deadline is Monday, November 18 at midnight.

A late fee of an additional $10 per entry will be added to the entry fee if received on or after Tuesday, November 19. 

Printable registration form will be available in October.

RACE RULES & COURSE MAPS

The race runs along paved roads and is flat and fast. The course is a semi-out and back. The 5 and 10 mile courses are identical other than the turn around points.

AGE & AWARD DIVISIONS

14 & Under (10 & Under must be accompanied by an adult)
15-19 • 20-24 • 25-29 • 30-34 • 35-39 • 40-44 • 45-49
50-54 • 55-59 • 60-64 • 65+ • Open*
*Open division participants are opting out of awards for the 5 and 10 mile run but will still be chip timed.

AWARDS

Participants in the 5 and 10 mile races will be awarded for overall top finishers and 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each division by gender. Awards Start Time: 5-Mile Awards will start at 1:30 PM followed by the 10-Mile Finishers. Must be present to receive award. Awards will not be mailed. If you know you will not be present for awards, we recommend entering the “Open” division, so the award gets passed to the next person.

CHILD CARE

FREE Drop-in Child Care is available for all event participants.

Two emergency contact numbers MUST be provided in order to receive this complimentary service. Drop-In Child Care hours are 8:30AM-1:15PM with a 3 hour limit.
