The Stevens Point Area YMCA has been learning and growing with area families for many years. We understand the trials that today’s families face, we are aware of their hurdles and obstacles, and we embrace their dreams. We believe that families — regardless of culture, ethnicity, or even socio-economic background — have at least one common hope. Parents want an improved life for their kids, a life with fewer struggles and greater rewards. Our goal at the YMCA is to help parents and families realize that dream by nurturing the full potential of children and teen, by improving the health and well-being of those we touch and by motivating people to support their neighbors and the larger community. Our ‘Pounds Off Challenge’ is a free group fitness challenge that allows you to break out of your routine and experience fun and effective workouts, utilizing our WellbeatsTM interactive fitness programming. Open to anyone trying to become more active and no fitness experience is needed, so grab your friends or fellow coworkers and sign up today!

Monday, August 17, 6:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m. Spend a day with us at Great America! Prepare to feel a presence that will make your senses come alive with excitement—a presence that goes beyond breathtaking views, beyond hair-raising adventures, beyond the thrilling rides! From the moment you enter, enchantment begins and the fun never ends.

YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program MEASURABLE PROGRESS, UNLIMITED SUPPORT! The YMCA’S Diabetes Prevention Program offered through the Stevens Point Area YMCA helps adults at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes reduce their risk through healthy eating and increased physical activity.
LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a free small-group fitness program for adult cancer survivors that empowers you to improve your quality of life. Each 12-week session is comprised of classes that meets for 75 minutes, two times per week. Also, you’ll receive a free Y membership for the session’s duration. Class size is limited to 10 participants per session.

LITTLE SLUGGERS BASEBALL Age 4-5 years old (co-ed)
Learn the basics of T-Ball in a fun and instructional program. Players participate in a few drills to improve and learn offensive and defensive strategy. TEEN CAR WASH Open to Everyone!
Enjoy a clean car and support Teens at the same time! The Teen Leaders Club will be running a car wash in the Y parking lot to raise money for Teen programs.
