Volunteer Youth Sport Coaches are needed for all YMCA youth sports programs. Helping youth grow in skills and self-confidence is enjoyable and rewarding. To get involved, please contact Michael Prince, Director of Youth Sports.
Youth Sports Philosophy: Basketball, the game that was invented at the YMCA, still feels right at home here. Every year, we help hundreds of sharpshooters find their range. Y sports are the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing a lifetime of healthy habits. The benefits are far greater than just physical health. Our basketball program teaches that the game is about more than the winning shot. Whether it is gaining confidence or understanding good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.
