Aerobic and Jazzercize classes haven’t truly faded away, as much as they have evolved over the years into dance cardio, Zumba, kickboxing, and boot-camp style classes with high intensity interval training, many of which are offered weekly through the YMCA’s Group Fitness program.
Jackie Myers, featured on the far right above, has long been a Certified Stott Pilates trainer. She now leads small group sessions and personal training at the YMCA, using the Pilates Reformer system, a sophisticated system of springs, straps, pulleys, and a rolling platform.
