KinduClub & Great Escape – 1997

For over twenty years, the YMCA’s Great Escape program has been keeping kids active, healthy, and safe during the critical hours before and after school.

As children and families transition to fall, the YMCA is here to help with flexible, affordable, high-quality youth programs, conveniently held at your child’s school. The Stevens Point Area YMCA’s State Licensed, Great Escape Before and After School Program keeps kids physically active and  engaged during out-of-school time. Through a
well-rounded approach to youth development, Great Escape offers activities in a caring, creative, and constructive environment.

The YMCA’s Great Escape program serves school-aged children in grades K-6, from September 2018 to June 2019,
at eight local elementary schools in Portage County, including Bannach, Jefferson (AM only), Madison, McDill, McKinley,
Plover-Whiting, Roosevelt, and Washington. Before school hours are from 6:30-8:25 a.m., the after school session runs from 3:35-6:00 p.m. In addition, Great Escape provides care during many of the scheduled days off school and during “snow days” or full-day cancellations due to weather.
