Join us for an introductory meeting of our Youth In Government program on
Monday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m.
Youth in Government is a hands-on program for teens in grades 6-12.
From October to March, teens meet twice a month on Sundays, 6:00-7:15 p.m., to learn how our law-making process works. This is a teen-lead program, where students learn and debate current political events, write articles and bills, create arguments for judicial cases, and gain experience with press corps media. Teen participants wrap up the season with a weekend trip to Madison for a Model Government Conference. There, over 200 students convene for three days in the legislative and judicial chambers of the Wisconsin State Capitol with other Future Leaders of Wisconsin.
We hope you can join us in this state-wide program, meet teens from around the state, and develop skills in law and leadership.
