Y SPLASH: Free Water Safety Course

June 10-14 • Ages 3-12

The Stevens Point Area YMCA is offering a free water safety course the week of June 10-14. This course will cover beach, boating and pool safety skills. For swimmers ages 3-5, classes will be 30 minutes in length. For ages 6-12, classes will be 40 minutes in length. The goal of the YSPLASH program is to help educate kids how to be safe in and around water during the busy summer months. Thousands of people drown annually and less than half of Americans can swim. This course will give children additional confidence and safety skills around water. Registration is open to the public. To sign up, call 715 342-2980 or visit the Y.
