This year, the Stevens Point Area YMCA is celebrating its 50th Anniversary serving central Wisconsin and Portage County. In honor of this achievement, and in recognition of the incredible support we’ve had from the Stevens Point community, we are hosting a 50th Anniversary Community Open House on Friday, October 26th from 3:00-7:00p.m.
This event is free and open to the general public. Large inflatables and a Gaga pit will be available for kids and families in our main gym. The Adventure Pool and water slide will be open for public swim.
An Open House is great opportunity for those new to the area or considering membership to explore firsthand our facility, the programming, and services we offer. A membership incentive package will be offered to new members who sign up that day.
Following the Open House, the Y is hosting its annual Halloween Overnighter from 7pm-8am, October 26-27th, for kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Kids are welcome to come in costume. The Y provides gym and pool activities, big screen movies, pizza at midnight, breakfast at dawn, a haunted house, prizes, and more.
Also in October, our Fall Father Daughter Semi-Formal on Saturday, October 20th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Dads, get dressed in your best and spend some precious time together. We will have a decorated dance room, DJ, games, hors d’oeuvres, pictures, and fun for all ages.
As we celebrate fifty years of service, we wish to say thank you to all the families, staff, and volunteers who’ve worked together over the decades to make the Stevens Point Area YMCA the special place it is today. Lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. Thanks for standing strong with us.
