Give
The Y is in your community to give everyone an opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y works to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and give back and support neighbors.
At the Y, no child, family or adult is turned away. We recognize that for communities to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
Here are some of the ways you can make a difference in our community.
Annual Giving Campaign
It feels good to do good!
We should know: that’s what the Y has been doing in central Wisconsin for more than 40 years. As a not-for-profit charitable organization, the Stevens Point Area YMCA puts Christian principles into practice, providing a variety of services for those in our community who need it the most. The Y has helped thousands of your neighbors strengthen their spirits, minds and bodies. We specialize in programs for working parents, older adults, children, and individuals seeking to maintain a healthier lifestyle.
We still need your help.
In these challenging economic times, more people than ever need our assistance. By donating to the Y Annual Giving Campaign, you can make a world of difference—right in your own community.

Planned Giving
Giving for the future
So much of what you do becomes part of the lives you touch. The example you set. The traits they see in you and seek to reflect. But what if it were possible to have the good you do last longer than the here and now.
Many generous individuals wish to make gifts in the future to the Stevens Point Area YMCA. They are giving through their estate plans or by making immediate contributions that can generate a life of income or special tax benefits to the YMCA Foundation.
There are many ways of giving to the YMCA including annuities, trusts and life insurance. For more information, please contact the Financial Development office at 715 342 2980 or e-mail yfoundation@spymca.org.

Securing our Legacy – Why We Need Your Help
For over forty years, the Y has been part of the Stevens Point community. Those lucky enough to live and work in the area know that it is a great place to do business, raise a family and make a life. The Stevens Point Area YMCA has grown along with our community. Today we serve more than 9,000 members and nearly 5,000 additional program participants. Approximately 1 out of 4 residents in our community participate in the Y. Each year, nearly 900 donors generously contribute of their resources so that we can ensure that no one is turned away from the Y due to inability to pay.
But today we have more demand than we can meet and our current facility is desperately in need of updates for the comfort and safety of our members and participants. Through the expansion and renovation of our Child Care Center and Camp Glacier Hollow, plus creating additional program space for our collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Portage County, we will be able to meet that need.
Our improved Y will be a place where children can grow, adults can make new friends and families can draw closer. These changes will help us live our mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. “For all” is reflected in all aspects of our Y, from infants to seniors, people who are challenging themselves to get healthier and people who are challenged with disabilities.
In addition, our Legacy and Endowment Funds will strengthen the financial health of the Y, putting more resources toward programs and services now and for generations to come.
Please consider a gift to our capital campaign. A YMCA facility is a tool to help the Y live its mission in the community. Help us sharpen this tool so that we can serve kids and families for generations to come.
