This photo was taken in 1930. The firemen stood in front of the fire trucks and the Old Fire House No. 2. The Fire Department got its first motorized equipment in 1917, but horses continued to be used until 1924.

This unoccupied building is the Old Fire House No. 2 minus its bell tower and balcony. The front building has drastically changed to a different design. The garage has recontructed from two doors to one door. The bricks are painted white.

Old Fire House No. 2 became the new Stevens Point Area YMCA in 1968.

In May 1970 the donations were given to the Stevens Point Area YMCA.

Forty years ago today, the Old Fire House No. 2 is still standing in the 1900 block of Strongs Avenue, minus its bell tower and balcony. The garage door changed back to two again.
