In it's 18th year, the Stevens Point Lactic Edge Triathlon is sure to be just as fun and successful as ever. Adult athletes will swimm 500 yards point-to-point in Bukolt Park, ride about 18 miles in the countryside north of Stevens Point, and run 3.1 miles along the Wisconsin River. ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT, JULY 8. (On-site registration for Saturday's event will cost $15 more for adults and $10 more for youth events).

Teen Race (13-15 and 16-18 year divisions, open to adults too as a chaperon or individual)

Kid's Race (three age categories dividing 12 years and under, all non-competitive)
Award divisions include individual by age category, relay team, and optional Athena/Clydesdale classes. "Athena" are females over 150 lbs. and "Clydesdale" are males over 200 lbs. Bright swim caps and helmets are mandatory. Wetsuits are allowed. iPods and other personal audio devices are prohibited. Elite wave placement provided at check-in upon request. Absolutely no athletes under age 16 allowed for the individual adult race. Those under age 18 may be contacted for interview and references. Check-In/Registration: You must check-in on site for the race. Bring your registraton confirmation. Check-in will be held on site Friday, July 11 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and on race day from 6:00 to 8:00 am. "On-site" registration is available at these times too ($15 more, shirt not guaranteed due to limited quantity). We encourage early registration by mail or internet -- we will pay active.com's extra fee for online registration this year! |

Kids Triathlon: A Kid's Triathlon will be held Friday evening, July 11 at 6:00 pm. Register online using the link on this web page ($15). On-site registration is offered at 4:00 pm ($10 more). Age 12 and under swim 100 y/bike 3k/run 1 mi., age 9 and under: swim 50 y/bike 2k/ run 0.5 mil, and age 6 and under: swim 25 y/bike 1k/run 0.25 mi. Teen Triathlon: For ages 13-18 (or anyone older), this is a new event offered by the YMCA. It will be held DURING the adult race (not on Friday night) and will start at 8:30 am. This is a fairly short course and is estimated to take 20-40 minutes to complete. Distances: Swim 200m/Bike 4 mi/Run 2k ("Two4owT"). Adult chaperones may register for this division in order to race along with a teen. Older individuals wishing to either chaperone a teen or accomplish a shorter course may also enter this event, and as such, separate registration is required ($15). |

Family Activities: We will watch your kids for FREE during the Adult race -- and keep them right at the park (just sign them in)!!! Bukolt Park has a playground and beach for the family to enjoy. Mead Park, on the west side of the river, along the run course, has a super new playground. In addition, downtown Stevens Point is a pleasant hang-out. The Kid's Tri on Friday evening is a very fun, social event and we invite adult athletes to watch and help out if they like. |

Race Cancellation Policy: In the event that weather or other adverse conditions force cancellation of the triathlon on race day, there will be NO REFUND of entry fees. Pre-registered participants will be offered FREE ENTRY for the next year's event. |
Results: An on-line version of the results will be available within a few days after the race at www.spymca.org. The 2007 results are at this site too.
